Jacmel Airport is the sixth airport in Haiti is served by scheduled and charter airlines from Port-au-Prince.
The airport was opened in 2006 and allows travel from there to Port-au-Prince and to other destinations across the island.
People above is the Jacmel Airport. Go to google-earth and type in (
Jacmel, Haiti
) you will see that there is a perfectly great tarmac strip flatland
which the foreign aid teams can use as a secondary location to land and Helicoptered into Port-Au-Prince
.
A C-130 can do great combat landings there. C-130s are known to combat landed in areas worse than the tarmac in Haiti. There is another Military landing field right in the corner of Boulevard Jean-Jacque Dessalines and Route de Delmas where Helicopters can land already. It has been said that in order for those trapped in the wobbles to stand any chance at survival it must be within the 48 hours of the catastrophic incident itself. Well, it has been past that 48 hours and the death toll of our fellow compatriots are piling up right under the eye of the world.
Meanwhile Haitians are dying, Americans with greater priority are being rescued onto planes back into the US.
How much longer will and must our brothers and sisters have to wait further?
P.S:
By the way, why are the news media not mentioning Jacmel, Haiti which was also hit by the Earthquake?

My message is to the American government. I am OIF/OEF veteran former active Soldier who is still in the United States Army Reserves. I have given my service to the United States and now my home country is in terrible distress I am watching how time is being wasted on demagogueries by not even providing them with basic food and water so they can endure and shelter the storm.
