FAST CONSTRUCTION:

Container homes, from the look of them in the video do look like a real homes.  If you did not know they were containers, one would think they are made of wood or actual cement.  They are very transportable which means they can be unloaded from the ship onto a tractor trailer and driven right to the site you're building on.

With proper arrangements, these containers are quite affordable and easily to get given they are in ports all over the world in large quantities and are only sent to the scrap metal yard when they are no longer good for shipment use.   They are very transportable which means they can be unloaded from the ship onto a tractor trailer and driven right to the site you're building on.  The beauty of it is,  all the materials necessary for their construction could be shipped inside the very container itself at no extra cost. Find some cheap land, labor as jobs for the Haitian people and bam you're in a nice lovely container home-made new house!

The other good thing about these container homes is that they already come with a steel frame, so that eliminates the need for bricks and concrete roofs. The fact that they can be customized makes them that much more attractive.  Please hit play and watch this video below:

Whatcanyoudo, it's not a bad idea at all; they don't have to worry about houses colapse on them. Good job man.

They DO NOT make containers home in America, I don't mean USA. The only place they make them is Australia. They are very cheap, it's depend of the size. Also they have to have Air conditioner, cuz it's 2 hot in haiti. A big problem about those containers home, haiti have an electricity problem. Cigarette la limin nan deux points.

I've read that used containers cost one to two thousand dollars, depending on size and condition. You would have to make arrangements to have them shipped .They are very transportable which means they can be unloaded from the ship onto a tractor trailer and driven right to the site you're building on. Shipping cost would depend on where you're shipping it to. Metal is a good heat conductor so the structure would have to be well insulated. There are architects that specialize in designing container homes. Plans and materials for a simple design could cost you another 30 thousand. The beauty of it is all the materials could be shipped inside the container at no extra cost. Find some cheap land and cheap labor and you're in DA HOUSE... Good topic - now let's try to come up with some ideas about financing, insurance, deeds, records, property lines...

Containers, home from the look of the video does look like a real home, if you didn't know they was one. You would think they are made of wood and crement. C'mon people think outside the box.
